Project Repack

The Challenge of Human-Centred Recycling Systems
Project Repack was a two-year research and design project between Taiwan and Japan to explore recycling systems for food packaging. It was conducted by Re:public. The project focused on human-centred design for food packaging recycling and the effects of the pandemic on hygiene concepts.
Design Research and Prototyping
The project had two phases: first, citizens conducted design research via LINE to explore cultural differences in waste disposal. Secondly, participants visited regions known for their crafts and eco-villages to study circular product design and lifestyles and they prototyped a 'Circular System for Food Packaging'.
